How Does it Work?
Eligibility
To be eligible for a discounted car seat, parents or caregivers must provide proof of eligibility for Medicaid, WIC, or New Mexi-Kids to verify low-income.
Cost
The cost of car seats for eligible parents or caregivers has been reduced compared to the full market value. Parents or caregivers will be required to pay for the car seat by using a money order or making an online payment. Please be aware that only one car seat per child will be provided. The standard car seat fee for eligible families is $35.
Watch Safety Video
Parents or caregivers must be educated on the proper use of the car seat, to which they are provided with educational resources and are required to watch an educational video before being issued a car seat.
Installation
Our distribution centers are staffed with certified child passenger safety technicians who are capable of providing installation assistance at no cost.
